Published by Larry under Water Sports

This video depicts one of the many things that the BP Oil Spill could take away. So far only a few spots of oil has been seen around the bayous in Louisiana. But if more oil comes, then fishing and water sports would become pointless with all the pollution. BP, stop the spill and clean up your mess!

Amazing Swim Bench for Triathletes, Swimmers, Fitness, Rehab

Published by Larry under Sports Equipment

It even amazed me and I did a lot of the re-engineering. Isokinetics is the way to go because it accommodates to the pressure you put on it. Every rep at every angle isat full speed at full strength! So, even when you’re tired, you’re pulling or pushing your muscles at maximum. That’s why people increase vertical jumps 8 inches and swim times 14 seconds in weeks! I’m re-habing a wrist I broke in basketball and it’s perfect! NAIA champion Cal Baptist is using it for swim and polo and many triathletes and parents of athletes are buying it for their homes. This is the first cut from the unedited DVD I’m making. The quick release handles and an programmable circuit trainer get us from butterfly to squats in seconds. It’s fun and it works better than anything else on earth! Just released: Everyone loves it.

Do You Want A Career in Deep Sea Diving?

Published by Owen Jones under Outdoor Sporting

Have you ever considered an exclusive career? If you have, then you may have a lot of different careers in mind. If you enjoy scuba diving, then you may be asking yourself what sort of occupation you can get from scuba diving apart from being a scuba diving instructor. Apart from just being able to explore the ocean, you will see that there are occupations that entail deep sea diving.

There are a lot of careers that involve deep sea diving. One such career is that of being a commercial diver. This kind of diving requires a lot of bravery and stringent qualifications.

Deep sea divers are involved in a lot of sorts of projects. One is salvage work on sunken ships, while others include the cleaning of the hulls of ships. Deep sea divers are also needed on deep sea oil rigs to repair pipes undersea as well as clean steel.

There is a wide range of projects that require commercial divers. However, training is very rigorous as you will need to handle dangerous materials undersea, such as high explosives and you will be in hazardous conditions too. In this regard, commercial divers are different from average recreational divers, because they are well-trained in all aspects of diving safety to the point that everything they do undersea should be just right.

So, how does one become a commercial diver? First of all, you must remember that commercial diving is different from recreational diving. Having an open water qualification is just not enough for you to become a qualified commercial diver. You still need to go to train for this type of employment.

In commercial diving school, you will be taught all about dive tables and how to use them. You will also be taught about underwater welding and how to handle high explosives underwater. Safety is the most important aspect of commercial diving.

You will also be taught undersea communications and emergency safety procedures in case something goes wrong. In commercial diving, you will also learn about the dangers of working underwater, especially in deep diving, where nitrogen narcosis is quite common. You will also learn about the symptoms of nitrogen sickness or bends and how to become aware of it if a fellow diver is suffering from nitrogen narcosis.

You will also be taught about the different air mixes necessary to diving, such as air, nitrox, and trimix. This is important as you will be breathing it undersea. Using the wrong mix when you go deep sea diving can be fatal.

Commercial diving is a promising career that is full of adventure. The pay is one of the best in the world and you will also be able to utilize hi-tech scuba diving equipment, such as rebreathers, state-of-the-art underwater scooters, undersea radio communications, as well as hi-tech industrial tools.

Deep sea diving occupations, such as commercial diving is a rewarding occupation. If you have the courage for it and you want a occupation that is full of adventure, then commercial diving is for you. Just remember that in deep sea diving, safety must always come first. Remember these things and you can be sure that you will be able to have a wonderful and fulfilling occupation as a commercial diver.

Have You Managed Your Summer List?

Published by Donald Bradleys under Outdoor Sporting

Summer is quickly approaching and anybody is by now in the early search for the excellent summer and beach attires just in time for the summer vacation. I have also happened to be frequenting malls for the newest and hottest trends that I will be able to wear when we head to the beach this summer. For sure, 2 or three visits to the beach won’t be enough so I better make sure that when we have our portraits taken in different beach in diverse occasions, I won’t be seen donning similar outfits all over again. So what are generally the stuff that you have in your checklist to help make sure that you don’t get a fashion disaster brewing ahead of you as you plan you summer vacation? I have by now designed my list and I presume it is great enough to share it with almost everyone.

1. When buying for tops, makes sure that you buy light-colored shirts because dark-colored shirts would only absorb the sun’s heat. Light-colored shirts on the other hand let’s the sun’s heat bounce back so you don’t get it all over your body as you and your friends take long walks at the beach until the late afternoon parties. You will be assured that light-colored shirts are pleasant to the eye and it will make you look and feel cooler literally.

2. Board shorts are the hottest things to get nowadays instead of wearing your really tight trunks. Well, if you have a body to flaunt, maybe you can stick with wearing tight-fitting trunks to show off your physique. But if you’re at the beach to have fun, then I strongly suggest that you get at least 2 or 3 pairs of board shorts. These are called board shorts because they are normally used by surfers when they go surfing. It’s not the typical type of shorts because the bottom parts of it let’s you move freely and they are not tight-fitting.

3. Similar to what Baz Luhrmann said, do not forget to wear sunscreen. If there is one thing that you shouldn’t forget to wear during the summer, that would certainly be sunscreen. No matter how attractive you appear in your designer summer line of clothes, your skin will simply show how badly you are suffering from the sun’s rays and that no designer can certainly ever come up a kind of design which may prevent skin cancer from occurring. So please help to make sure you possess a supply of excellent sunscreen, preferably one that has a higher than average SPF level to protect you better.

4. As modest as perhaps it will be, do not underestimate the power of a baseball cap specifically in a sunny day. You don’t expect everyone to provide bulky umbrellas to defend themselves from the sun’s harmful rays, do you? A helpful cap is more advisable since it is more compressed, convenient and comfortable.

5. When you are protecting your whole body from the sun’s ultraviolet rays, make sure that your eyes are also covered. Wear sunglasses on a hot day to keep your eyes safe. After all, what’s everything around you if you’ll go blind anyway?

And while you are at it, make sure to drink lots and lots of water to keep your body fluid replenished from all that sweating. It’s summer so you do not want to get dehydrated.

The Critical Nature Of Kid Swimming Pool Safety Measures

Published by Taylor Lewis under Outdoor Sporting

Water attracts kids like a magnet, and that is why a child should never be left alone anywhere near a pool. A responsible adult knows this, and they also know that you take the kids with you if you have to leave the pool for any reason.

If you have a private pool, you have responsibilities to those who use it. The main way to advertise this responsible attitude is to have safety equipment in the pool area at all times. A shepherd’s hook can pull a non swimmer or child from a pool and a life belt is also a recommended piece of kit.

If an emergency has occurred, every second is vital in getting help. This is why a phone by the pool is highly recommended. Should your children find themselves alone and without your supervision, they need a means of contacting you quickly should something arise.

You should always have a fence around the pool with a lockable gate. This will stop both kids and animals from getting to the water. It will also send a clear message that they shouldn’t enter the area without your presence.

To prevent anyone getting past the fence, make sure it is at least 6 feet and that that gate has a lock that is key operated. Always keep this key on you and out of reach from any of your children.

Find a class in your area that teaches you how to do CPR and get yourself along. You will be safe in the knowledge that should a situation arise, you will know what to do.

Stay by your pool at all times if there are people using it. If anyone falls in or gets into difficulties you will be able to react immediately and save someone’s life.

Pool parties are very enjoyable, but at the end of the day safety is more important. Always make sure that the gate is locked before you go into the house.
