Dirk Nowitzki Girlfriend Was Not All That She Made Herself Out To Be

Published by Jim Mechant under Basketball

There has been a lot of talk about Dirk Nowitzki girlfriend rumors. The truth of the matter is no one knows if anything is true or not about the speculations. Dirk has chosen to keep his mouth closed about his girlfriend drama, but the press has led us to believe different things about this dilemma.

Apparently Dirk Nowitzki whom is a Dallas Mavericks star was actually dating a woman by the name of Cristal Taylor. Taylor is honestly nothing special; she is simply an ordinary woman that has been seen around the star from time to time.

Apparently Nowitzki bought 37 year old Taylor a $250, 000 engagement ring and the two were supposed to wed sometime soon. However, it was not a happy ending for the couple. In fact Dirk Nowitzki girlfriend drama began shortly after the star asked Taylor to marry him.

Dirk\’s friends insisted that before the star commenced in the wedding ceremony that he should get an extensive back ground check on his girlfriend. The background check proved that Taylor had a dark and dreary past.

However, the back ground check was cut short when Taylor was arrested in May for having two outstanding warrants. Dirk was oblivious to the reasons why. And, after she was arrested more secrets began to fall through the cracks. Taylor had actually been married before. Her previous husband was buried in $330, 000 in debt because of Taylor and her spending habits.

Dirk Nowitzki girlfriend Cristal, had also gained access to the stars credit cards as well. She was happily utilizing the cards without the stars permission. Taylor gives a brand new name to the term gold digger when you think about the way that this sheep in wolves clothing would manipulate men to give her everything that she ever wanted.

If it had not been for the police coming when they did, Dirk could have made a horrible mistake that would have ruined him for the rest of his life. Taylor needs to learn something, you can run but the truth will always find you.

Should Mark McGwire\’s Acknowledgment Be Chided or Praised?

Published by Matt Greenard under Baseball

Recently, Mark McGwire came out with an admission that many people were shocked to hear. He had taken steroids from 1989 through the end of his career, despite his unwillingness to speak on the issue during a congressional hearing five years ago.

The logic would typically follow that a player takes any performance enhancing drug to enhance their statistical performance. A strong player will hit more home runs, and his team will find more success. McGwire, on the other hand, took these drugs because he felt that they were his only means of staying free of injury.

This would make sense in McGwire\’s case, as injuries seriously slowed down the pace of what would have been an otherwise torrid career. He was one of the best power hitters in the game, but his potential was always cut short due to injury.

What followed in the years to come was exactly what one would expect. He was healthier through the majority of the remainder of his career, and his offensive production was exceptional.

Everything came together in 1998, a year in which McGwire set baseball history. Having broken a seemingly unbreakable record held by Roger Maris, the St. Louis Cardinal hit an astounding 70 home runs during the course of the year.

While McGwire was worshipped by baseball fans as he broke this record, things soon changed within the span of a few years. Talk of steroids began to mar the baseball world and its recent milestones, including the record that had been set by McGwire.

Many now realize that the writing was on the wall this whole time. How could a player in his mid 30s suddenly hit more home runs than ever before? How could others like Barry Bonds and Sammy Sosa hit even more? We all should have known better.

McGwire violated the trust of the baseball world and cheated his way to a record. Despite this all, he deserves a bit of respect for having the courage to come out with a secret that hundreds of players from that era still likely hold.

A Classic Battle Is On Its Way

Published by Danny Powell under Football

Every generation of football sees the emergence and prevalence of a few elite quarterbacks. In the 80s and 90s, we saw the likes of Montana, Elway, Marino, and Aikman dominating the sport. Currently, quarterbacks like Manning, Favre, Brady, and Brees are clearly the best in the game.

Very rarely do we see two of the best quarterbacks in the sport facing off against one another in the Super Bowl. This year, the football world will be privileged enough to enjoy such an opportunity. Not only is this the case, but many believed that both teams were tops in the league through the course of the season.

Both the Saints and Colts won their first 14 games, leading many to speculate as to whether these teams would go undefeated through the course of the entire season.

Neither the Colts nor the Saints finished out the season without a loss. In fact, each team lost two games, each for their own reasons. Still, this was enough to secure home field advantage, which clearly helped to secure a Super Bowl berth for each team.

This year\’s Super Bowl matchup is sure to be an exciting one. Two of the best quarterbacks of our generation have the opportunity to go head to head.

In recent years, it\’s been all about defense. Look at last year\’s Steelers for a perfect example, as the best defense in the league ultimately won the Super Bowl.

Recent champions have all resulted from highly proficient defenses and while both the Colts and Saints are efficient defensively, their defensive performances won\’t matter much since each quarterback seems to be effective no matter what.

This may very well be one of the highest scoring Super Bowls we\’ve seen in recent years. As great as defensive battles can be, this will be an extremely refreshing change from the usual.

The Truth About The Steve Nash Rookie Card

Published by Karl Merigue under Basketball

Weighing under two hundred pounds, at six foot three, steve nash rookie card has become more of a player than in the past. He now has taken a place among other greats, as one of those in the NBA who has made Most Valuable player several times. Only 11 men in the history of the NBA has done this and now he has joined them.

In his first two seasons playing with the Phoenix Suns, things were not the best for him. It was in 1996 that he had arrived from Santa Clara and was met with Jason Kidd on the team, who did quite well at that time. Within this time he averaged less than 10 points a game and three assists.

In 1998, he was traded off to Dallas. While playing in Dallas, his game took a turn to all-star status. In 2004, listed as a free agent, he decided to go back with the Suns. The Suns now, would and could not imagine playing without him.

Steve Nash seemed to find what he needed, when working with the coach Mike D\’Antoni. His game average took a turn for 19 points and 11 assists a game. He improved on his three pointers and layups, as well as getting himself the MVP status for two years in a row.

Additionally, it served to make the Sun\’s one of the top NBA teams. In the first half of 2006-07, his scoring got even better. Despite all of this, his steve nash rookie card remains way undervalued compared to other greats of his time.

It remains a mystery of why his card continues to have a value so low. For now however, you can get a great deal on his card and will continue to be able to until they realize all of the great work that he has done.

Now Is The Best Time For A Surf Travel Adventure

Published by Damian Papworth under Water Sports

Are you fed up with the crowds and the terrible waves at your local beach? Do you dream about surfing some uncrowded reef break like the ones you see on DVD? Do you long to go on a surfing safari, just you and a few good buddies? If you said yes to any of those questions, it is now the time for you to get away and take a surf travel vacation.

Ask yourself what is stopping you. Is it really the money? Once you have paid for your airfare, you can live for a few dollars a day and have the best barrels in the world at your doorstep in Bali. Imagine waking up every morning and heading down to Uluwatu for your morning surf instead of to your local break.

For a couple of bucks you can get a boat over to Nusa Lembongan and have your bungalow practically at the shoreline. If you have never heard of Lembongan before, you are in for a very pleasant surprise. In the land of the left hand breaks, the best waves there are rights!

With Bali as your basecamp, you have access to all of the waves in Indonesia. One of the best waves on the planet is on Java, just a stone throw from Bali: GLand

GLand needs no introduction to any surfer. On its day (and there are many), you can get barreled for up to two hundred yards on one of the fastest and most challenging waves in the world. You can stay there in comfort, too, unlike the old days when you had to sleep in the jungle.

For the ultimate surfing adventure, get a bunch of your buddies together and charter a boat. You can sail from Fiji to the Maldives and have the ultimate surfing adventure. You will surf fabled reefs and unknown reefs. There are little dots on the sea that have waves to rival anything you have seen on a DVD and you and your mates can have them all to yourselves. The price of the boat will not be cheap, but between all of you, it will be affordable.

Are you still thinking you cannot really do it? Why? If it is the money or if you think it will be more than you can handle, put those thoughts out of your head. You will not be in this good shape forever. Age will catch up with you and the chance of a lifetime will have passed you by. If you love surfing, do not let anything stop you from experiencing the surf travel experience of a lifetime. Guaranteed, you will not regret it!

When trying to surf, surfboard hire is the place to visit.. If you are wanting to learn how to be the surfing boy or girl, then there are different ways to learn. We learnt how to surf through surf videos.

The Interesting Comeback of A Tennis Great

Published by Lisa Bryce under Outdoor Sporting

If we rewind by a few years in the women\’s tennis world, we\’ll arrive at a time where Justine Henin was the world\’s best female tennis player. Not only was she the best, but she was rather dominant.

Many were calling her the Roger Federer of women\’s tennis, and deservedly so. She was simply unstoppable at her best. Why did she retire in 2008, then?

According to Henin, she had grown tired of all of the training and traveling that came with the grueling lifestyle of being a pro tennis player. As a result, she thought that a retirement would be the best personal move.

There were personal initiatives that she preferred to focus on, including a camp for children where she\’d teach them how to play tennis.

Even though she was gone, people still regularly spoke of Henin. Every tournament left fans wondering if she would have won had she still been playing. Fans no longer have to wonder though. After announcing her return last fall, the former top ranked player is back on the women\’s tour now.

Still, there was doubt. Would she be able to play at the level she left off at? When someone goes nearly two years without playing a professional match, they can\’t be expected to be as good.

Boy, were they wrong. Justine Henin looked as if she never took a day off after easily beating Nadia Petrova in straight sets at Brisbane. The competitive fire still burns in this warrior. In fact, some people claimed that she looked as if she never even took a day off.

Going forward, tennis fans should rejoice about the fact that one of the true all-time greats is back in action. Let\’s see how far she can go this time around.

The Hand of Thierry Henry

Published by Jordan Cassalet under Soccer

Thierry Henry is free at last! Henry faced a ton of criticism for his handle ball versus Ireland during their World Cup qualifying match. This hand ball led to the goal that France scored against Ireland, which allowed France to advance to the World Cup and which sent Ireland home, ending their hopes of a trip to South Africa.

As much as I wanted to see the luck of the Irish pull through, I have to agree with this decision. There are several comparisons I\’ve been discussing that make it clear for me.

Let\’s compare other sports, perhaps basketball. If Michael Jordan fouled a player (not flagrant) in a championship game, but the refs missed the call on this game winning opportunity I can guarantee there would be no debate if Jordan should be punished. There\’s a simple reason for this – it\’s the refs job to make the calls!

FIFA couldn\’t find a legal reason that Henry should be penalized. A hand ball doesn\’t allow them to fine him or suspend him. If the ref\’s called a handball, they could have given him a card, but it\’s too late for that as they obviously missed the boat on that call!

It would have been a shame to see a superstar of Henry\’s caliber on the sidelines during the World Cup this summer. The punishment he was facing could have kept him out of the World Cup for several games. This is the most elite soccer tournament in the World and it would not be the same without his presence.

I\’ve played soccer my entire life at high levels in the States and I\’ve been part of some heart-breaking calls. Some were in my favor and some were against us, but the fingers could only be pointed at one person – The ref! It was never an issue with the players as it\’s not their responsibility.

Ireland put in a request to FIFA to replay this match, but I knew this wouldn\’t happen. They can\’t turn the call over at this point, so that means that can\’t find a reason to replay the game. Some people would like to see FIFA develop a review system, but that could really ruin the flow of a game. There are other options, like the addition of a ref on the end-lines which I think is a better solution.

Anyone who has ever played soccer has tried some sneaky things in a game before. Some may argue it\’s bad sportsmanship, but some will say it\’s part of the game. I can\’t say what Henry did was wrong since its part of the game. I think its unfair, but unfortunately that\’s part of the game!

This author is a huge soccer fan. He enjoys playing and watching soccer on his free time. Check out his reviews on the latest soccer supplies and youth soccer boots at his blog.
