The Baltimore Ravens are a fairly new franchise in the NFL. It took a lot of time, stress, and conversations for Art Modell to get the NFL to agree to the Ravens moving to Baltimore (from Cleveland). Not even ten years later, the 2008 season, the Baltimore Ravens nearly made it to the Super Bowl. In a fight on home turf against the Jaguars, they won their spot in the AFC playoffs placement. An unfortunate turn of events allowed them to slip out of the running for the Super Bowl, but they made it farther than they ever had.

With the ‘08 season leaving sports enthusiasts with some hope, the ‘09 season had nothing but positive openings. Raven fans had an exciting year in 2009. The team played exceptionally hard during summer training. Preseason practice and games proved this to be true. Their ‘08 season gave them 26th place in draft picks, from which the Ravens went home with Michael Oher.
