The fishing was great and the catching awesome with limits brought home for the dinner table. I might add the trout were very tasty as my wife cook up a nice meal and shared some with friends. We were using Berkley sparkle chartreuse Power Bait with Shelton self releasing hook and TadPole™. We fished in several areas including the narrows, and the two large bays. We had most action by pulling boat up on points and fishing from the back of the boat. We arrive at dawn and were off the water by noon. How to find trout tips using floating bait when fishing from a boat. This technique allows you exposure to both the fish swimming the bank plus the fish that trollers normally catch which are swimming in the middle of the lake. These are the methods I use when finding good spots to fish for trout. Pull up on the point watching very careful the depths as you approach as well as watching for dangers to your prop. Raise motor as you get close. Many times you want need an anchor out to hold you. Fish out the back of the boat very close to shore as many times the trout are just out of visual range..I use Berkley charteuse glitter Powerbait with a Shelton TadPole™ snagless weight and a 18 inch Shelton Self Releasing™ rig.
