@eewarze do a nice steady breathing and dont ever hold your breath for a second, that rises blood pressure (i beleave) if your doing a push up its better to breath in as you slowly go down and breath out as you push up (good for 1st timers) breathing is important during exercise but it aint all that difficult to find out how to breath on what exercise cos half the time it does not matter sometimes it does (way you breath in n out) just watch scooby on youtube he explaines alot.

try breathing in when u get to the most crucial part of any excersise n out when u start comin out nice deep breaths it helps as u tend to have more oxygen meaning u can do more reps without runnin out of puff more importantly ur blood pressure rises dramitacally if u hold ur breath in.

how important is breathing in working out? do i have to follow certain rules? I always just breathe normally when working out..

you’re abs are always active, due to intense work load throughout the day, a high percentage of type 2 muscle fibers(slow twitch). it’s not necessary to walk around tensing, it won’t do anything. training regularly, with rest days is the way to build abs. due to the amount of type two muscle fibers, you’re abdominals can be subject to a heavy work, and more frequently. tensing your lat’s will have no effect on your abs.. your lat’s antagonist is your deltoids.

even when your not exercising, and just laying or even walking tense your abs but provide resistance by also tensing your latissimus dorsi (back) this will help build or tone your abdominals,
another tip is to go swimming often, and try a few lengths using only your legs for either frontcrawl or butterfly
