Illegal Fishing: Blocking Access to the EU Market

Published by Larry at 11:24 pm under Outdoor Sporting

ec.europa.eu ec.europa.eu Illegal fishing on the high seas is possibly the biggest single global threat to sustainable fishing. Recent estimates show that it represents between 15-20% of global catches. As a major world market for fisheries products, the EU proposes the establishment of a system to prevent, deter and eliminate this practice by shutting the door for products of illegal fishing, thus depriving the poachers of their sole motivation: profits. The common fisheries policy is the most shameful aspect of the EEC destroying billions of fish in EEC waters and exporting starvation to Africa by buying up fishing concessions from poor African nations. Get your house in order before this pretense of “responsibility”.
